Laura is down. I need you to request her to be alive again.

I appreciate when someone takes decisive action and nips a potential problem in the bud. Bonus points for using a gun.
[ Too bad it wasn't a bullet she used, though. ]

Need a favor.
Mae's been crying a lot. Getting into that age where she doesnt want me to leave. Can you get the Admiral to soundproof my room so no one thinks someone's dying in there?

He doesn't call so much as very super stealthily trail her around the barge for a bit until she goes back to her room.
At which point he makes his approach, armed with a box of cookies.
Knock knock.

Got a minute for a coffee?
He waits for Saga to send another message. He braces himself for her to approach when he sees her wave at him from across the deck or down a hall. But she doesn't, and she doesn't, and slowly his defensive readiness shifts into the realization that she's respecting his space and not pushing him and--
And then he's outside her door, and he knocks with his eyes fixed on the floor.

Of all the places on board where he feels uncomfortable, he has the hardest time figuring out why the art gazebo does it to him. He starts testing himself, almost, the way he does when he's near the infirmary, prodding at the empty spaces that bubble up to diagnose what he's not feeling.
David picks up a paint brush idly, turns it over in his hands, and tucks it into the back pocket of his jeans. It would be decent for a one-strike shiv, with some work.

He comes to her cabin, rather than sending a message, because--well, he likes being in front of people for talks like these. It's one of the latest little things he's marked down for his garden, realized on the way over.
Of course, that doesn't mean he's good at starting these conversations yet, so as soon as Saga opens the door, he blurts out, "Arthur messed up, and I want to talk to him about how, but I want to talk to you about how first."

[It's been two or three days since - everything. Since Arthur tried to trap Edwin, and Jedao found out about it. Maybe one day since Edwin came to Saga about it himself.
Jedao suspected Arthur probably wouldn't say anything about what Jedao did, and even if he didn't, at least deserved not to be hounded about it right away. But after a few days Jedao is pretty sure Saga isn't going to call him out about it, and she seems - like she would. And even though Arthur has forgiven him, and Jedao believes that he has - Jedao knows that wasn't because it didn't matter. Jedao struck a deeper nerve than he meant to - a hazard he should have forseen at this point - and it's certainly not Jedao's place to help with it.
So he calls her. He's not very well going to be a coward about it at Arthur's expense.]
Hello, Agent Anderson?
This is Cho Jedao. We haven't spoken before but I think that we should. I'd like to meet in person, when it's convenient for you.

[Attached to the text is a picture of Saga in the otherworld, though she's ghostly, slightly see through and glowing an ethereal sort of blue.] Hey, just dropping a text in to say thank you, sorry and here you go. The order is important. Photographic proof that Alan thinks the world of you, magic and his brain said so, he can't deny it.
Hope that brightens your day a little. ANYWAYS... How the fuck did you do that? I heard about rock and roll magic, but that was definitely not that. And the only magical deer I can think of off the top of my head is a wendigo and those things are FUCKED so, probably not that.

He's at her door, knocking politely, almost immediately after the announcements go up. He knows what it means. She'll get a file. Supposedly it will contain all details relevant to his 'rehabilitation.' Presumably that will have information about Project Aegolius. Which means he has to get to her before she reads it. That's how he gets around the impulse to just get the job done. It's logical. If she doesn't read it, he doesn't have to do anything about it.
He hopes she hasn't seen it yet at all.

It's been a few days. He and Saga have made a cautious practice of him revealing information she shouldn't be able to hear in bits and pieces, testing to make sure he doesn't get that particular murdery switch flipped. It seems... all right. It seems like she'll be all right, if she knows.
So they set another meeting, and David wears the best clothes he has available, freshly picked from the wardrobe while Arthur isn't there. Nice slacks, button-up shirt. He doesn't bother with anything fancier than that. It would feel silly.
He already feels a little silly, acting like this is... what, a job interview? Ridiculous. Still, he's in it now, so he knocks.

Already got a second one, huh?
[ His tone is warm, clearly pleased. ]
Congrats.

He feels strangely dazed when he goes looking for Saga. Caleb had said he needed to check in with someone, David confessed the same need, though he doubts for the same reasons. When he finds Saga, there's an unsettled air to him that he can't make calm down. He's not a fan of that. The way it feels like there's something low-simmer-bubbling between his chest and stomach.
"Caleb is here." Yeah, that's the first thing he says when he's close enough to speak.

So your profiling. How's the range on that?
Hi, Saga. It's Matt. Jesse's inmate? I have a question for you.

On the back of the clearly hand-drawn card, he has printed the date (Dec 28) and time, as well as the location - the Enclosure.
Salve, signora.
I am Iago. Perhaps we should meet in person, seeing as the Admiral was so kind as to put us together?

[ Saga didn't tell Matt what happened to her, but that didn't stop him from finding out. He hears pretty much everything, after all, if it's not spoken about inside of cabins. So the word about her recovery reaches his ears accidentally, and he debates leaving it, but, hey. Dying's pretty shitty and they're walking a fine-enough-line that he figures he can stop by.
So he does, gently rapping his knuckles against the door of her cabin. ]
Hey, it's Matt.

[Aerith is at least chuckling a little as she calls so...maybe no harm?]
You've got your work cut out with him Saga. He's a slippery one.

Iago continues to be petulant and silent, but he turns to wait for Saga anyway.
He is grateful, in his way.
