Did they give you antibiotics while you were in the infirmary or do you need the bottle I got?

I'll come by yours. I'm still scrubbing blood from mine.

[It's about an hour later when he knocks at her door.]

[ She'll open the door and invite him into her main room when he knocks, taking a moment to look him over, checking his movement and watching his eyes to see how his pain levels are. ]

Come on in. Can I get you coffee or a soda?

Coffee's fine.

[He's hurting, but he's also slightly drunk to drown out the pain in his head and the pain in his arm.]

[ She'll go and get her thermos and pour out; she hasn't asked for a kitchen or anything, hasn't felt the need, but she has a mini-fridge and a coffee maker and a little 'station' where she can mix up liquid meals. It's all she needs with the dining hall around.

She'll push the coffee mug over to him, black, and accompany it with a couple of sugar packets. It's a guess.]

[He steps fully into her cabin, taking in the rather familiar feeling of it. It reminds him of John's log mansion, in a way, but the more he looks, tye more it feels like the Grand View and he feels - oddly disturbed by that.

Hm.

He takes the coffee with a nod and leaves the sugar behind.]

Oh. Nooo. No way. This was just my last field office, in a place called Bright Falls, Washington.

[He sips at the coffee, finding a chair to sit on.]

[ That's a shrug. Yeah, she loves her work. No hiding that. ]

I won't deny that. I love what I do.

And I consider myself still on my last case. My deal has to do with what happened there.

So you're planning on cheating?

[He's mostly teasing, grinning over the rim of the cup.]
